ü  The greatest test of courage for a man is to drop his own life, manliness, ambition, and pick up someone else's

Give our men courage to pursue Christ to Calvary to totally lose their lives and pick up JESUS'. It takes courage to say "NO" to self, especially for men.

ü  Post Calvary Resetting of mind and De-cluttering from dead works/habits

Dead works affect the whole realm of the soul- the mind, intellect, feelings, emotions, and will. A man can be passionate about the cross yet bombarded by dead works, bringing defeat in his life output; e.g. anger, arrogance, strong will, etc.

Help our men to be deliberate with putting off the works of the flesh post Calvary, and not explain these away.

Make them forthright in seeking God's help for this, as dead works will make the sharp sword blunt in their hands.

ü  Conformed to the image of Jesus

Make our men conformed to the image of JESUS, their elder Brother.

Pour Your Spirit on all the men on the Men's Online Fellowship. They studied:

"The Sermon On The Mount" and now studying "The Dignity of Manhood".

Lord see their quest, and hear our cry, and conform them to Your image.

Our men will be redeemed and conformed to the image, the stature of our Lord JESUS. They will become the Gospel on two legs, to blaze the fire of revival!

Altar On The Gospel

ü  Gideon built an enduring altar Jehovah Shalom- v24

Shalom points to the Prince of peace to come- JESUS CHRIST- Col 1:20

Cause our men to build an enduring altar on the Gospel of Christ. Any altar not built on the complete Gospel of Jesus will eventually disappear- it's a glory that fades.

Make them men who are ready to contribute their quota of life sacrifice into revival, just like men before them- JESUS, the apostles, Gideon, John Newton etc

Cause them to boldly challenge the preaching of the incomplete gospels of today.

ü  Altar signifies sacrifice. The Gospel is all about sacrifice- John 3:16

Cause our men to dig deep into the mystery of the Gospel. You cannot sacrifice your life, time, resources, comfort for something you don't know thoroughly.

Open the eyes of revelation of our men to the full Gospel of Jesus, the power of God unto salvation. The solution to the mystery of iniquity.

Help them to know that serving God is not a status booster- "I'm a minister" Rather a call to lose all, including their status and become nothing so JESUS can be everything.

Open their eyes to see the wasting harvest and our Father's inheritance overgrown with weeds so they can have done with lesser things to focus on God's desire for them, ready to give it what it takes.

ü  Mystery: Jesus (God) came in the flesh- 1Tim3:16, 2John 7, Rom 8:28-29

Give us men who believe that Jesus came in the flesh, fully man, though sinless (He was not the first sinless man on earth, and didn't intend to be the last), for a purpose, and to pursue the purpose with all their lives.

            - To redeem us back to God

            - To show us the life of the redeemed sinless man

Gideon- Located by God

Jugdes 6:11-16

ü  God had located a man- v11 

The angel sat under the oak tree, waiting for Gideon.

God has located our men and He is waiting for them.

Lord, locate our men and bring them out from hiding. 

ü  He was interrupted by God and called a mighty man- v12

God already sees a mighty man in our men who today may be threshing in fear.

Lord, draw out the mighty man in them. 

ü  Gideon engaged with God rather than hide away- v13

Many men ignore God's promptings rather than engage, for fear of being interrupted.

Lord, cause our men to seriously engage with YOU from now on. 

ü  "Go in this thy might"- v14

A man bold enough to engage with God in difficult times has some might in him.

Lord, arrest them till they hear Your call. Not just casual discussions.

Don't allow them to go back threshing in fear. Business as usual. 

ü  Gideon acknowledged his inadequacies- v15

No time for "macho cover up". A broken man is a mighty man in God's hand.

A man conquered by God is a conqueror of nations.

Lord, make Calvary conquest real on our men.

Make their decluttering from dead works as real too so their hands are strong to hold the sword.

Please make our men humble and broken before You, so You can empower them. 

ü  Gideon received a Word, an Oracle from God- v16

"You will smite the Midianites as one man." A promise, an oracle on which to anchor the labour. To Gideon, it was 300 Israelite soldiers against 1 Midianite man.

Lord send Your Word, Your Oracle to our men regarding the labour.

Give them divine strategy for every facet of the labour

Don't let them lean on their own understanding. Send Your Word.

LORD, bring out the men of courage and equip them with a Word!
