Arising To Obey Instruction For Service 2

Luke10:1-2 (AMP) The Seventy Sent Out -
Now after this the Lord appointed seventy others, and sent them out ahead of Him, two by two, into every city and place where He was about to go. He was saying to them, “The harvest is abundant [for there are many who need to hear the good news about salvation], but the workers [those available to proclaim the message of salvation] are few. Therefore, [prayerfully] ask the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.”
The Lord started with twelve and now He is sending seventy more (Verse1).
·      Thank You Father for appointing the men of courage just as You appointed the seventy.
·       Father, we thank You for the number of our men of courage arising presently to fulfil Your will.
·       Lord, as Your disciples multiplied, we pray for a visible increase in the men of courage.
They are going ahead of Him to prepare men for His return.
Acts 1:10-11 (AMP)While they were looking intently into the sky as He was going, two men in white clothing suddenly stood beside them, who said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into the sky? This [same] Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, will return in just the same way as you have watched Him go into heaven.”
Mark 16:15 (AMP)And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.”
·       Father, give the men a deep understanding of why they have to prepare men for Your return and let it bring an urgency in their service.
·         Help them to always be prepared at any time to meet with You.
·        Father, help them to show men that You Lord are the only way to heaven (John14:6).
·         May they nurture and prepare men for eternal life.
The Lord sent them two by two because –
There is power in agreement and unity.
They will both complement each other.
So they can both bear witness together.
To also strengthen and encourage each other.
It is also a process of discipleship.
·       Dear Lord, seeing how You sent Your disciples two by two, we pray for unity within the men of courage.
·       Lord, help them not to be alone in their effort to serve You; may they consistently share Your work with those who can encourage and support them.
·       Father, give them the grace to bear each other’s burden (Galatians 6:2).
·       Lord, as You sent them out together, may their lives and words be a witness of Your Gospel.
All the cities and nations all over the world, is the Lord’s command to go (there are over 5,000 cities in the world).
·         Lord, we pray for open door to all the cities and nations all over the world.
·         We command every gate and the ancient doors to be lifted up in these cities, that the King of Glory may come in so that the message of salvation be preached (Psalms 24:7).
·         Father, as the sole of their feet treads upon those cities, we pray for the hearts of the people to be open to them.
·         Lord, as they go let Your presence be with them.
·         Father, instruct, direct and teach them in the way they will go (Psalms 32:8).
He was saying to them, “The harvest is abundant [for there are many who need to hear the good news about salvation].”
World population states that there are 7.4billion people in the world.
World population of Christians - 2.1 billion out of this population number who have the message of the cross preached to them is few.
He spoke and told them what the situation was (Verse 2).
Lift up your eyes and see.
The power to see clearly is from God (Proverbs 20:12).
·         Father, give them the eyes that see as You see.
·         Lord, cause their vision to be enlarged.
·         Lord, grant them insight into the harvest.
·         Father, take them to those who need to hear the good news about salvation.
But the workers [those available to proclaim the message of salvation] are few.
Therefore, [prayerfully] ask the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.
There are workers but the Lord asks us to pray for workers who are available to proclaim the message of salvation; it is these ones that are few.
·       Lord, we pray for more men of courage who are available to proclaim the message of salvation.
·       Father, do not let them be preoccupied with the wrong assignment.
·         Make them to see that this is a priority in Your plan for the return of our Lord Jesus.
·         Father, let it be a matter of urgency in their heart.
·         Lord, let the word (the message of salvation) burn in their hearts and be fire in their bones and let them be weary of holding it in (Jeremiah 20:9).
·        Father, You are the Lord of the harvest, send workers (men of courage) in the harvest.
·        We pray that the Lord will count them worthy of His calling and by His power fulfil all the good pleasure of His goodness and work of faith (2Thessalonians1:11).
·       Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify them through and through [that is, separate them from profane and vulgar things, make them pure and whole and undamaged, consecrated to Him—set apart for His purpose]; and may their spirit and soul and body be kept complete and [be found] blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen (1Thessalonians 5:23).

Matthew 10: 1-15 (AMP)

The Twelve Disciples; Instructions for Service

Jesus summoned His twelve disciples and gave them authority and power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every kind of disease and every kind of sickness. Now these are the names of the twelve apostles (special messengers, personally chosen representatives): first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew, his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother; Philip and Bartholomew (Nathanael); Thomas and Matthew (Levi) the tax collector; James the son of  Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus (Judas, not Iscariot); Simon the Cananaean (Zealot), and Judas Iscariot, the one who betrayed Him.

Jesus sent out these twelve, instructing them: “Do not go among the Gentiles, and do not go into a city of the Samaritans; but rather go to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give. Do not take gold, or silver, or [even] copper money in your money belt, or a provision bag for your journey, or even two tunics, or sandals, or a staff; for the worker deserves his support. Whatever city or village you enter, ask who in it is worthy [who welcomes you and your message], and stay at his house until you leave [that city].

As you go into the house, give it your greeting [that is, ‘Peace be to this house’]. If [the family living in] the house is worthy [welcoming you and your message], give it your [blessing of peace [that is, a blessing of well-being and prosperity, the favour of God]. But if it is not worthy, take back your blessing of peace. Whoever does not welcome you, nor listen to your message, as you leave that house or city, shake the dust [of it] off your feet [in contempt, breaking all ties]. I assure you and most solemnly say to you, it will be more tolerable on the day of judgment for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah than for that city [since it rejected the Messiah’s messenger].”

Acts 16: 6-15 (AMP) – Now they passed through the territory of Phrygia and Galatia, after being forbidden by the Holy Spirit to speak the word in [the west coast province of] Asia [Minor];  and after they came to Mysia, they tried to go into Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus did not permit them; so passing by Mysia, they went down to Troas.  Then a vision appeared to Paul in the night: a man from [the Roman province of] Macedonia was standing and pleading with him, saying, “Come over to Macedonia and help us!” And when he had seen the vision, we (including Luke) tried to go on into Macedonia at once, concluding that God had called us to preach the gospel to them.

So setting sail from Troas, we ran a direct course to Samothrace, and the next day [went on] to Neapolis; and from there [we came] to Philippi, which is a leading city of the district of Macedonia, a Roman colony. We stayed on in this city for several days; and on the Sabbath day we went outside the city gate to the bank of the [Gangites] river, where we thought there would be a place of prayer, and we sat down and began speaking to the women who had come there.

A woman named Lydia, from the city of Thyatira, a dealer in purple fabrics who was [already] a worshiper of God, listened to us; and the Lord opened her heart to pay attention and to respond to the things said by Paul. And when she was baptized, along with her household, she pleaded with us, saying, “If you have judged me and decided that I am faithful to the Lord [a true believer], come to my house and stay.” And she persuaded us.”

Prayer point

·       At every point in time, specific instruction will come by the leading of Holy Spirit - Father help them to obey; may they always recognise Your voice (Matthew 10:1; Acts13:2).

·       Lord, we pray that when such instruction comes there will not be any contention.

·       Father, let their hearts and ears be tuned to the cry of help from those in need of salvation (the message of the cross delivers from sin nature) - Acts16:9.

·       May they continue to do the will of the Father even when it is not convenient.

·       Father, let none of them fall by the wayside as the son of perdition and the enemy will not sift them as wheat.

·       Their names written in the book of life will not be removed (Matthew 10:2)

·        Father, the great commission You have given them, they will not deviate from it.

·       Lord, preserve their spirit from error, that they will only speak the truth which is Your word (the Gospel).

·        May they go to prepare men for Your kingdom (Matthew 10:7).

·       Lord, endue them daily with power from the Holy Spirit to cast out demons, heal the sick and set the captives free (Matthew 10:8).

·       Father, at every point in the journey of service, may Your Spirit direct them as to where to go and who to minister (Matthew 10:5; Acts16:6-10).

·       Lord, we pray that to any house, city or nation that the sole of their feet will tread upon, we possess it for Christ.

·       Father, prepare and open the hearts of men and women in these cities and nations where You send them (Acts16:14b).

·       We pray that the heart of men and women be receptive to the preaching of the Gospel (Matthew 10:11).

·      Thank You Father that whichever city or nation You send them, they will find one whose heart is receptive to the message and established as a disciple of the Lord.

·         Father, every contention and activity of the enemy to withstand the Word we rebuke (Acts13:7-12).

·       Father, as they go out may they never be burdened with the resources needed, but trust solely on You providing for their needs (Matthew 10:9-10).

·        Lord, we pray for disciples in cities and nations that will open their homes for the use of the Kingdom labour.

·        Father, let their obedience to Your instruction bring forth fruits and may they abide (Matthew 10:15) - souls of men.

Men of Courage Arising 2

Join this HeartCry Prayer- Every Friday 11.30am-12.25pm (UK time)

NOW THAT THE DAY HAS BROKEN UPON OUR MEN OF COURAGE AND IN THE DAYS OF GOD’S POWER - Isaiah 60:1-3

Acts 16:16-34 – (TLB)

Verses 16-19 – “One day as we were going down to the place of prayer beside the river, we met a demon-possessed slave girl, who was a fortune-teller and earned much money for her masters. She followed along behind us shouting, “These men are servants of God, and they have come to tell you how to have your sins forgiven. This went on day after day until Paul, in great distress, turned and spoke to the demon within her. “I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her,” he said. And instantly it left her. Her masters’ hopes of wealth were now shattered; they grabbed Paul and Silas and dragged them before the judges at the marketplace.”

·     Mockery against the name of the LORD? Open the eyes of our men and bestow upon them a discerning spirit, O Lord, to see and to perceive souls who are under the captivity of darkness and bringing blasphemy to the name of God, no matter the disguise.

·     A demon possessed slave girl… A fortune teller… earned much money for her masters. Lord Jesus, You who came and proclaimed liberty to the captives, please enlarge the hearts of our men to declare Your deliverance, which You completed on the Cross at Calvary over souls of men under bondage.

·    Verse 19 – Holy Spirit, as You order the steps of our men of courage in their  rising into the nations that You have possessed for them, dash the hopes of every taskmaster; who are trading upon the lives of God’s people, even when this leads to persecution for them.

Verses 20-24 - “These Jews are corrupting our city,” they shouted. “They are teaching the people to do things that are against the Roman laws.” A mob was quickly formed against Paul and Silas, and the judges ordered them stripped and beaten with wooden whips. Again and again the rods slashed down across their bared backs; and afterwards they were thrown into prison. The jailer was threatened with death if they escaped, so he took no chances, but put them into the inner dungeon and clamped their feet into the stocks.”

·    Thank You Jesus for the gates and the cities which You have and beginning to give to our men. Amidst the laws of the land, let them not compromise the teachings of the message of the Cross with any other adulterated message. Help them to be focused at all time on Jesus.

·     John 15:21 – “If they persecute Me, they will also persecute you; because they do not know Him who sent Me.”

Register it unto the tablet of the heart of our men, O Holy Spirit, that the Cross separates us from the world, and therefore gives them the grace to be ready to share in Christ’s suffering and in the promise of the kingdom of Heaven being theirs. Help them and give them the grace to take pleasure in persecution for Christ sake.

·    Luke 21:12-13 - “But before all this occurs, there will be a time of special persecution, and you will be dragged into synagogues and prisons and before kings and governors for my name’s sake. But as a result, the Messiah will be widely known and honoured.”

Help our men to see You Jesus being glorified as they face and go through every challenge/opposition on the field as they go forth for You; please take away every fear, doubt, murmuring or groaning as it was prophesied of You – “He was oppressed and He was afflicted, yet He never said a word.” Let it be said also of our brethren.

·    Develop in them, Holy Spirit, to have the courage and confidence like Paul and Silas; help them to be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Verses 25-31 – “Around midnight, as Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to the Lord—and the other prisoners were listening - suddenly there was a great earthquake; the prison was shaken to its foundations, all the doors flew open—and the chains of every prisoner fell off! The jailer wakened to see the prison doors wide open, and assuming the prisoners had escaped, he drew his sword to kill himself. But Paul yelled to him, “Don’t do it! We are all here!” Trembling with fear, the jailer called for lights and ran to the dungeon and fell down before Paul and Silas. He brought them out and begged them, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” They replied, “Believe on the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, and your entire household.” Then they told him and all his household the Good News from the Lord. That same hour he washed their stripes, and he and all his family were baptized. Then he brought them up into his house and set a meal before them. How he and his household rejoiced because all were now believers!”

·    Lord Jesus, let our men not resolve to weapons or wisdom of men at very critical times of persecution, but help them to look up to You for braveness; give them the grace to master courage, to pray and to praise You.

·    Paul and Silas knew God’s will and truth, they allowed their faith to move God into action, and therefore God released His power and produced the supernatural that was beyond and above everything natural! Halleluiah!

Increase the faith of our brethren Lord, as they go to possess these nations for You; help them to stand firm in their faith, so that You can manifest Your sovereign power and do the miraculous, which no man will be able to gainsay but to declare, “This can only be the hand of God.”

·     “…and the chain of every prisoner fell off!” – Thank You Jesus, that on that day, You did not save and deliver only Paul and Silas, but You opened the prison door to all them that were bound (Isaiah 61:1b); And so Lord, cause it to happen that in every nation where the soles of the feet of Your men of valour shall step, the captives shall be set free – those spiritually blind will receive sight – the broken-hearted will receive healing in accordance with Your Word.

·    Enlarge and baptise the hearts of Your men to have compassion for the souls of men that are lost; every opportunity they come across, help them to witness and to lead these men to Jesus the Saviour, for their eternal salvation.

Saints and Faithful In Christ

Join this HeartCry Prayer- Every Friday 11.30am-12.25pm (UK time)

Ephesians 1:1-6 (KJV) -Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus: Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestined us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.”

Paul was so sure of who called him and without doubt knew what he was called to do. May they fit this description (Apostle Paul gave these three descriptions) -

1) Saints
·       They are saints - set apart, separated and called out of this world. Set apart because they have been cleansed from what excludes them from the presence of God and cleansed from pollution (the old nature).

·      They are God’s own people; separated unto Him, a chosen generation, a royal priesthood and a holy nation (1Peter 2:9)

Acts19:8-10 (KJV) – “And he went into the synagogue, and spake boldly for the space of three months, disputing and persuading the things concerning the kingdom of God.But when divers were hardened, and believed not, but spake evil of that way before the multitude, he departed from them, and separated the disciples, disputing daily in the school of one Tyrannus.10 And this continued by the space of two years; so that all they which dwelt in Asia heard the word of the Lord Jesus, both Jews and Greeks.”

·         Paul set apart disciples to teach in the school of Tyrannus (Acts19:9).

·         Separated to learn at the feet of the Lord.

2) Faithful

·       It means to exercise faith (Be not faithless but believing) - Full of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

·        Faith in the incarnate, believe that He came in the flesh, believe in the fact that Christ came to die, His blood was shed for the remission of our sin and that He is risen and seated on the right hand of God the Father and believe in the person of the Holy Spirit.

·         Men who are faithful to that which is committed to them.

3)  Men who are in Christ Jesus

Prayer Point
·        Father, we thank You for choosing them before the foundation of the world.

·       Lord, we pray that they may know of a certainty that they are men whose calling and election is sure.

·       Lord, make our men disciples and disciplers indeed who are ready to receive instruction and also instruct others in the way of Christ (Acts19:1-6).

·       Help them to continue and let there be no break or drawing back (verse10.)

·      Father, let there be a dramatic increase in discipleship.

·       Men who are leaders and training others to be leaders also and willing to invest their time in the lives of others.

·       Men who exemplify the life of fatherhood and make both spiritual and biological sons after Christ.

·        Men who are filled and full of the Holy Spirit and manifesting in the fruits (inner life of Christ) and the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

·        Patient in service and being patient to serve.

·       They keep the faith, hold to the faith, contend earnestly for the faith, defend the faith, established in faith and consistent in faith.

·        Men who are reliable, dependable, blameless and above reproach in Jesus name.

·       Lord, may they always know that it is You working through them and not of themselves.

The City of Ephesus (The world, their location)

·         Ephesus was a great city and a worshipper of idol, paganism, magic.

·         They had mixed ethnicity (Greeks, Jews, Egyptians).

·         Men were out to make merchandise of men through sorcery and witchcraft.

·         The disciples of old also experienced the challenges of our generation.

·         This present world is full of false religions, idolatry, witchcraft and paganism.

·         We live in a society of mixed ethnicity.

·         Men are seriously making merchandise of men in a grievous way.

·         They are in this world but not of this world.

For Our Men of Courage

·        Men who are different from the men of the world.

·        Lord, as the door of the city of Ephesus was open to the Gospel, we pray that every location where You have positioned the men will be an open door to preach the word.

·       Father, let them walk in the authority You have given them to confront evil and rebuke the works of darkness.

·        Lord, as they go and preach Your Word (the complete Gospel), let it be accompanied with signs and wonders.

·         Give them a word and wisdom that their hearers will not be able to gainsay.

·        Lord, as they preach the Gospel, may they by Your spirit persuade and turn away the heart of men from false doctrines (Acts19:26) and wreck havoc to the business of the merchandiser and let them be converted.

·       Father, grant them a discerning spirit.

·       Make them flames of fire.

·         That they will have profound influence in the world around them.

·         Arise oh Lord and scatter the enemy and show forth Your praise; the gates of hell will not prevail over them.

·         May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give them grace and peace. (verse 2)

THE MEN ARE MATCHING ON (2X)
