Arise Unto Righteousness

“Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh”. Galatians 5:16 (KJV)

David and Bathsheba - 2 Samuel 11

“In the spring, at the time when kings go off to war, David sent Joab out with the king’s men and the whole Israelite army. They destroyed the Ammonites and besieged Rabbah. But David remained in Jerusalem” (Verse 1)

·       In the spring: the season after winter and before summer, in which vegetation begins to appear. In our daybreak before revival, Lord, help Your men to understand the season that they/we are in, so that they can sow according to divine instruction.

·       Lord our God, please give unto us leaders who are acquainted with matters of the kingdom, men who aware of the urgency of the time, men who the Holy Spirit will instruct, men who are willing to join others on the field of battle.

David had been out in the battlefield before, where the king was supposed to be
·       Jesus was acquainted with our sufferings. Give us men who know that the Holy Spirit is ever with us even in battles. Not men that will send but not themselves go, not men that will remain in their Jerusalem.

One evening David got up from his bed and walked around on the roof of the palace. From the roof he saw a woman bathing. The woman was very beautiful, and David sent someone to find out about her. The man said, “She is Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliam and the wife of Uriah the Hittite.” Then David sent messengers to get her. She came to him, and he slept with her. (Now she was purifying herself from her monthly uncleanness.) Then she went back home. The woman conceived and sent word to David, saying, “I am pregnant.” (Verses 2 – 5)

·      Lord, deliver, wake us/our men from everything that causes spiritual slumber, sleep, relaxation, timeout, drowsiness - a condition of body and mind which typically reoccurs for several hours every night, in which the nervous system is inactive, the eyes closed, the postural muscles relaxed, and consciousness practically suspended.

·       Heavenly Father, please teach the men what real beauty is; deal with their minds and heart to understand what You consider beautiful. What the world calls beauty, You Lord see as ugly, lust, ruin, destruction, sin and death.

·        Lord, help them never to ignore any warning that You by mercy is bringing to each one.  Lord, that we will know whose we are and not hesitate to leave the place of sin; that we will not offer ourselves to the enemy’s desires.

·      This is not the era of our men doing their own thing, or doing the things that please them. Holy Spirit, please take control of our men of courage; because his lustful desire will outweigh his good sense and integrity. Un-repented sin (lust) will kill; will distract a man in this revival if they/we allow it to fume long enough then act on it.

·       Lord, please help our men so that they do not evade responsibility and their calling because it will lead to spiritual decline.

·       Lord, please reveal to our men, leaders, our disciples, that their position, philosophy of this world (attitude, viewpoint, ideas, values, thinking, way of life), education, wealth and power - that if they do not surrender totally to the Lordship of Jesus Christ; their resolve (like David in this story), will supersede the revealed will of God in their life in this daybreak.

·       God has a plan for our lives. He has laid certain responsibilities upon us, and when we avoid them with excuses or justifications, we open ourselves to temptations that separate us from God. Lord, expose every dead work, sin in our lives to us and to our men, which wants to separate us from divine use. Holy Spirit, please help us so we all can cry to the Lord for help.

·       Lord, make the eyes of our men of courage to linger on the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. Take their eyes from feasting on every inch of Bathsheba’s fleshly charms (sin and the world system). Lord, help us hand over every sin to You, and not delay in this daybreak.

·       Lord, please deliver our men, from “daughters of this age”, the world system bathing all sorts; that Satan will display around to deceive men, and lure into his trap.

So David sent this word to Joab: “Send me Uriah the Hittite.” And Joab sent him to David. When Uriah came to him, David asked him how Joab was, how the soldiers were and how the war was going. Then David said to Uriah, “Go down to your house and wash your feet.” So Uriah left the palace, and a gift from the king was sent after him. But Uriah slept at the entrance to the palace with all his master’s servants and did not go down to his house.
David was told, “Uriah did not go home.” So he asked Uriah, “Haven’t you just come from a military campaign? Why didn’t you go home?”
Uriah said to David, “The ark and Israel and Judah are staying in tents, and my commander Joab and my lord’s men are camped in the open country. How could I go to my house to eat and drink and make love to my wife? As surely as you live, I will not do such a thing!” (Verses 6 – 11)

·       Lord, make us men who are ready to take leave of their duty.

·       Lord, make us/our men, people who do not consider their leisure worthy of importance compared to work of the Lord and his countrymen. People who will not be, or lay at ease, when the battle is raging, when souls are perishing daily, when there is stealing and no accountability in the body of Christ; when the young ones are seeking for role models, answers from among the “Ammonites”, when persecuted Christians die daily .

·       Genesis 25:30-32   And Esau said to Jacob, “Let me eat some of that red stew, for I am exhausted!” (Therefore his name was called Edom) Jacob said, “Sell me your birth right now.” Esau said, “I am about to die; of what use is a birth right to me?” O Lord, please help us we pray, make us a people that will not betray our Master Jesus for mammon.

·       Lord, make us / our men like Uriah, who are very patriotic to matters of heaven than to enjoy his wife while his countrymen were endangering their lives on the battlefield.

·       Lord, equip our men with a heavenly sense of will and purpose, so that they become acquainted with the fact that in warfare, there will be causalities and even death. Lord, help us to know that while we are refusing the enemy’s gifts, he is putting “plan B” into operation. He will calmly write our death warrant, seal it, and send it to a willing captain.

“Then David said to him, “Stay here one more day, and tomorrow I will send you back.” So Uriah remained in Jerusalem that day and the next.  At David’s invitation, he ate and drank with him, and David made him drunk. But in the evening Uriah went out to sleep on his mat among his master’s servants; he did not go home.  In the morning David wrote a letter to Joab and sent it with Uriah. In it he wrote, “Put Uriah out in front where the fighting is fiercest. Then withdraw from him so he will be struck down and die.”  So while Joab had the city under siege, he put Uriah at a place where he knew the strongest defenders were.  When the men of the city came out and fought against Joab, some of the men in David’s army fell; moreover, Uriah the Hittite died”. (Verses 12 – 17)

·         Lord, whatever the cost, help Your men to remain loyal to the course of heaven.

Arising In Obedience, Not Disobedience

1 Kings 13:1-25

Lessons from the above:-

·      God made the young prophet a proof in order to be approved. It therefore happened, ‘just as the prophet had said would happen’ – [verse 5].

·      ‘Beg the Lord your God … So he prayed to the Lord,’ and the Lord answered him hence the king’s arm was restored – [verse 6b]. Why did he not pray unto the Lord for confirmation when the old prophet came and gave a contrary instruction? Why did he not honour God before the old prophet? Why did he disobey?

·       Verse 9 – was a direct, personal, strict instruction meant for the young prophet’s ears only, neither for the king nor for the old prophet.

·      The young prophet ‘prayed to the Lord’ for the king’s hand to be restored. Why could he not cry unto the Lord for repentance when he fell into temptation, and beg for forgiveness? To show the nature of the old prophet [that he was far from the Lord], why didn’t he (the old prophet) there and then beg God for the young prophet’s disobedience – instead of saddling his donkey for him? – [verse 20-23].

·      He was able to spot the danger of obedience to the advice and offerings of the king which he bluntly refused, but fell into the more subtle and dangerous form of this same kind of temptation to disobey God through a ‘professed messenger of God’ who was a liar.

Prayers

·      Thank You Jesus for You said “And the Good News must first be made known in every nation before the end-time finally comes.” (Mark 13:10 – TLB). And so we thank You, as doors are being opened into various nations for our men of courage to teach and to preach the Word of God; to give His commands and His instructions.

·      Thank You Jesus for being the proof inside of Your men, which makes Your word to be approved unto the souls of men/women that hear Your words/commands.

·      “By the disobedience of one man, many were made sinners; also by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous” [Romans 5:19a]Therefore Lord, cause Your mercy to fall upon the whole team of Your men (as they go in twos/three or more), as You take them into the nations for Your purpose; Holy Spirit,  let every act/verbal word of theirs which is in disobedience and contrary to Your instructions/commands, be made opened or revealed to them instantly, so that they can quickly make amends and not fall into the wrath of God.

·      Lord Jesus, as they go in service and in labour for/with You, help our men of courage not to allow temporary earthly pleasure to destroy their eternal treasure; as Your return draws near, help them to be strong and steady everyday, keep them abounding in Your work [1 Corinthians 15:58].

·      Holy Spirit, You are the Spirit of obedience. Therefore, baptise Your men and guide them into obedience, we beg You; we have come to know that (1) Complete disobedience and partial obedience = failure before You. (2) Being disobedient means questioning God’s original instructions. And so Jesus, baptise Your life of obedience into Your men as they go forth and mostly when they are on the field in the nations, so that they may carry out Your strict order and not do otherwise.

·       1 Corinthians 16:13-14 – “Keep your eyes open for spiritual danger; stand true to the Lord; act like men; be strong; and whatever you do, do it with kindness and love” – Please our God, help Your men to stand truly in You, be their strength and defence; open their eyes and hearts for them to know when to be practically cautious and courteous; let them not be swayed by the spiritualism of ‘dead men of God,’ but help them to be wise in their dealings with such men – young or old.

·       Luke 22:40, 4640 There he (JESUS) told them “Pray God that you will not be overcome by temptation.” 46 “Asleep! Get up! Pray God that you will not fall when you are tempted.” – Thou Lord Jesus in our men, the hope of their glory, You who was not overpowered or fell into temptation at anytime while on earth; cause it to be that You will grant Your men Thy grace, that they will not be overpowered by nor fall into temptation; and when they do, thank You for You will make a way of escape for them to be able to endure it [1 Corinthians 10:13].

·       “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.” [1 John 4:1] – Deliver Your men O Lord from spiritual deception or lying spirit. Help them to test all spirits by the Word of God, which is the final authority that confirms all truth or lie; save Your men from the stronghold of falsehood which is from the kingdom of darkness as they possess these nations for You. Let Your light in them, which is You Jesus, reveal and dispel every handiwork of the enemy in their labour with You.

·      Please Holy Spirit, deliver Your men from ‘ferocious wolves who are in sheep’s clothing’ whose main aim is to destroy the ‘sheep’; thou great shepherd, help them to be on guard against every contrary word and counsel of such ‘wolves’, and to hold fast unto every word spoken into their hearts by God. Please keep them saved by the Cross and by the blood of Jesus.

·       1 Corinthians 15:57‘But thanks be to GOD, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.’  Our Father in heaven, we thank You for the victory that You have given unto all Your men of courage (mention the names of those within your bosom) through their Saviour and Maker Jesus Christ! We are trusting You Jesus, that as You were in all points tempted like them, yet without sin – be it unto Your men also (mention the names of those within your bosom) that they will not start in obedience and end in disobedience [Hebrews 4:14-15]; help them for this is a miracle that only You, our miracle (Jesus), who worketh in them can do!

Arising With Haste To Affect Lives

Join this HeartCry Prayer- Every Friday 11.30am -12.25pm (UK time)

Luke 14: 12 – 24 (NLT) - Then he turned to his host. “When you put on a luncheon or a banquet,” he said, “don’t invite your friends, brothers, relatives, and rich neighbours. For they will invite you back, and that will be your only reward. Instead, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, and the blind. Then at the resurrection of the righteous, God will reward you for inviting those who could not repay you.”

Jesus replied with this story: “A man prepared a great feast and sent out many invitations. When the banquet was ready, he sent his servant to tell the guests, ‘Come, the banquet is ready.’ But they all began making excuses. One said, ‘I have just bought a field and must inspect it. Please excuse me.’ Another said, ‘I have just bought five pairs of oxen, and I want to try them out. Please excuse me.’  Another said, ‘I just got married, so I can’t come.’
“The servant returned and told his master what they had said. His master was furious and said, ‘Go quickly into the streets and alleys of the town and invite the poor, the crippled, the blind, and the lame. After the servant had done this, he reported, ‘There is still room for more.’ So his master said, ‘Go out into the country lanes and behind the hedges and urge anyone you find to come, so that the house will be full. For none of those I first invited will get even the smallest taste of my banquet.”

The son of man came to seek and to save that which was lost. There are always excuses why people are not coming. Go quickly into the streets and alleys of the town and invite the poor, the crippled, the blind, and the lame.
Where are these streets and alley ways?
Alleyways were originally designed to allow access for coalmen and rubbish collectors. The alleyways that are left are often full of fly-tipped rubbish. They also allow easier access to the rear and side of a property. National statistics show up to 85% of burglars gain entry to homes via the rear or side of properties. Anti-social behaviour such as drinking, drug use and vandalism also occur in alleyways across the Country. It is an area where there is little or no electricity and therefore a dark spot physically.

Who do you find there?

Drug addicts, gangs, homeless, prostitutes, thieves and robbers, beggars.

-They are the poor in Spirit.

-They are in need of help.

- Destitute which society has separated themselves from.

-Desperate for change.

-Uncomfortable situations.

-Wilful captives.

-Spiritually blind.

These are the empty vessels.

They are all the carriers of the old man Mr flesh. That which Christ did on the Cross has destroyed him. The complete Gospel is the weapon we need to destroy the work of Mr flesh. He is the one causing the havoc in the lives of these ones. The only way to fight is to use the message of the Cross; to make disciples of all nations.
Jesus gave attention to those that were empty. Empty vessels are receptive and open.

Prayers

·        Lord, thank You for the instruction You are sending to the men of courage to arise and go quickly to search for these ones.

·        Father, help them to see the urgency in this instruction.

·        Lord, help them to see where the harvest is plenty.

·        Father, give them a picture of what they ought to see.

·        Father, give the men of courage the desire to seek empty vessels to be filled.

·        Lord, give the men of courage a heart for the destitute even as

Jesus said He came to seek and save the lost.

·        Take their eyes away from the comfort of cities to begin to see the alley ways.

·        Give them a tenacious Spirit not to draw back when they meet with opposition.

·        Lord, let Your Spirit fill their hearts with compassion for the destitute.

·       Father, may they begin to be connected to the gangs and destitute of our society and start a revival within them.

·      Father, may they be encouraged in their commitment to Christ in these perilous times (2Timothy 3:1).

·      Lord, we pray for a prevailing presence of the Holy Spirit upon them as they go into these environments (for boldness and courage).

·        Lord, may they find rest and refuge in Christ as they labour on the front lines.

“Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving; meanwhile praying also for us, that God would open to us a door for the word, to speak the mystery of Christ…” (Colossians 4:2-3a)

·      Father, cause an open door within these groups of people that will bring about a revival in the nations.

·        Lord, open a door for Your word so they can speak the mystery of Christ.

·        Father, let this mission bear fruits of souls for Your kingdom.

·      Lord, we know that as You have given the instruction, so have You prepared the hearts of the people to be receptive to Your word.

·      Father, as the robbers and gangs are converted and discipled, let they in turn begin to disciple men for You.

·        Father, thank You for room that is available for souls.

·        As the rooms are being filled, may they continue to the Countries and hedge way.

·        Father, raise more David Wilkerson of this generation who will put their lives in Your hand.

Arising With The Heart of Jesus

Join this HeartCry Prayer- Every Friday 11.30am -12.25pm (UK time)

Mark 4:1-20 (NKJV) – “And again He began to teach by the sea. And a great multitude was gathered to Him, so that He got into a boat and sat in it on the sea; and the whole multitude was on the land facing the sea…

10 “But when He was alone, those around Him with the twelve asked Him about the parable. 11 And He said to them, “To you it has been given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God; but to those who are outside, all things come in parables, 12 so that ‘Seeing they may see and not perceive, and hearing they may hear and not understand; lest they should turn, and their sins be forgiven them…”

A great multitude was gathered and in this multitude, there are two set of people – (1) inside the kingdom of God; (2) outside the Kingdom – spiritually blinded.

From Jesus explanation of the parable, do you know that - (a) the ones by the wayside (b) the ones sown on stony ground (c) the ones sown among thorns (d) the ones sown on good ground – are all God’s people that He came and died for?

“For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.” Luke 19:10.
But He answered and said, "I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel." Matthew 15:24.

Prayers

Holy Spirit, give unto our men of courage an imbibed copy of the heart of Jesus that:

·       Is still seeking the lost sheep of God; ready to go all out for those blind sheep; persevere with the captives in order to bring them back to their Saviour.

·      Will not be moved by multitudes – by crowds – by numbers but is particular about these sets of ‘singular sheep’.

·       Desires that the knowledge of the mystery of the kingdom of God, which is the knowledge of the mystery of the Gospel – be revealed/be established even unto all men especially those that are lost.

·        Desires that they (the lost souls) will perceive in their seeing; they will understand what they  hear, so that they can turn away from their sin, turn to God for their sin to be forgiven and begin to live a fruitful life in Christ Jesus.

·       Desires that all men go above and beyond parables being preached on the pulpit, but to have deeper, inspired, revelational knowledge of the genuine Word of God in their hearts.

14“The sower sows the word. 15 And these are the ones by the wayside where the word is sown. When they hear, Satan comes immediately and takes away the word that was sown in their hearts.”

What Jesus looks at is the state of the heart.  Also, for the above sets, satan in his device seeks to destroy the heart; he sees them on the *wayside, not on the way (*note the difference) – Jesus said “I am the Way; the Truth and the Life…

·        As our men of courage go into these fields/nations, let the Spirit of the Living God, consecrate the heart of these souls of men so that the Word of God that they read/hear will settle in their hearts.

·       No man knows the heart of another man except the Spirit of Jesus. Therefore Holy Spirit – You the Internal Processor - process every Word that comes from the mouth of our men of courage into the heart of the unsaved, so that “satan will not come immediately to take away the word that was sown in their hearts.”

·       Lord Divine, there is power in seeing to perceive the truth and hearing to understand the truth. You the Way, the Truth and the Life - set at work by Your divine nature to bring these people from the wayside unto Your way (salvation). Reveal Your truth unto them through Your vessels (men of courage) as You grant them the utterance, so that these people might have life and have it more abundantly.

16 These likewise are the ones sown on stony ground who, when they hear the word, immediately receive it with gladness; 17 and they have no root in themselves, and so endure only for a time. Afterward, when tribulation or persecution arises for the word’s sake, immediately they stumble."

·       As Your Word which is sharper than two-edged sword is preached, O God, break with Your iron rod every rock-like heart which has no basis for the word of God; remould and reshape their perverse hearts so that the true Gospel will be firmly rooted inside.

·       By the unction which You have deposited upon Your men of courage, O Lord, and as they carry out Your instructions, let the Word that proceeds out of their mouth accomplish what You desire in the lives of Your lost/blind sheep – Isaiah 55:11.

·       Let Your unquenchable fire accompany Your Word, so that it burns out from the heart every seed of doubt, worry, anxiety which does not stand in the days of adversity.

18 “Now these are the ones sown among thorns; they are the ones who hear the word, 19 and the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things entering in choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.”

·       Lord Jesus, help Your men of courage to have a compassionate heart like Yours to be able to indoctrinate through Your Word unto these lost souls, that eternal life is more than the distractions of this age with its worldly pleasures; open their eyes to see the vanities of passionate desires which cannot be compared to the heavenly glory.

·       Psalms 119:72“The law of thy mouth is more valuable to me than millions in silver and gold.” – The power of Your Word cannot be likened unto the richness of this world. And so Lord Jesus, cause it to be that the power of Your Word in the mouth of Your men of courage are the words that gives eternal life (John 6:68).

20 “But these are the ones sown on good ground, those who hear the word, accept it, and bear fruit: some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some a hundred.”

·      Thank You Lord Jesus for the souls of men who will hear Your Word from the mouth of our men of courage and will accept it.

·      Thank You Lord for as much of Your Word that is/will be planted into the hearts of these sheep.

·       Jeremiah 17:10 - Thank You Lord that You are the One who searches, test and opens the heart of a man; and we trust You that as they hear the good news of salvation – they will have a deeper understanding of Your Word; and as they understand – they will accept it thereby having a deeper knowledge and connection with You, and be able to bear millions/billions of fruits for You and for Your Kingdom.

6 “I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase. Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.” 1 Corinthians 3:6-8.

·       Above all, we thank You for Your Men of courage – Your Pauls; Your Apollos – whom You desire to use to plant or to water the seed of Your Word; thank You that You have declared them as one inside of You.

·       Help our men of courage to keep knowing and forbid it Lord, that it will enter into their head/heart that they are the one who giveth/possess the increase (pride of the heart).

·      Thank You Our Great Rewarder that You are the God who rewards every man according to his labour; thank You for You shall reward Your Men of courage accordingly. Thank You Jesus!

Continuing In The Apostles Doctrine

Join this HeartCry Prayer- Every Friday 11.30am -12.25pm (UK time)

Acts2:37-47 (AMP) -
Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart [with remorse and anxiety], and they said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Brothers, what are we to do?” And Peter said to them, “Repent [change your old way of thinking, turn from your sinful ways, accept and follow Jesus as the Messiah] and be baptized, each of you, in the name of Jesus Christ because of the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise [of the Holy Spirit] is for you and your children and for all who are far away [including the Gentiles], as many as the Lord our God calls to Himself.”

And Peter solemnly testified and continued to admonish and urge them with many more words, saying, “Be saved from this crooked and unjust generation!” So then, those who accepted his message were baptized; and on that day about 3,000 souls were added [to the body of believers]. They were continually and faithfully devoting themselves to the instruction of the apostles, and to fellowship, to eating meals together and to prayers.

A sense of awe was felt by everyone, and many wonders and signs (attesting miracles) were taking place through the apostles. And all those who had believed [in Jesus as Saviour] were together and had all things in common [considering their possessions to belong to the group as a whole]. And they began selling their property and possessions and were sharing the proceeds with all [the other believers], as anyone had need.

Day after day they met in the temple [area] continuing with one mind, and breaking bread in various private homes. They were eating their meals together with joy and generous hearts, praising God continually, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord kept adding to their number daily those who were being saved."

1) This is the continuing work and activity of our Lord Jesus Christ (Acts1:1).

Acts 1:1-2 (AMP) – “ The first account I made, Theophilus, was [a continuous report] about all the things that Jesus began to do and to teach until the day when He ascended to heaven, after He had by the Holy Spirit given instruction to the apostles (special messengers) whom He had chosen.”

2) The only hope for this world (this crooked and unjust generation) is the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

3) There was increase in the number of believers as they obeyed the instructions of the Lord.

3,000 were added to the church (among these were those who opposed the Gospel before).

They joined themselves to the apostles (120).

4) They continue steadfastly (this became the most important aspect of their life).

They wanted to be together always.

They continued in prayer.

5) What did they come together for? 120 and 3000.

-They continued in the apostles teaching / doctrine and did not deviate from what was handed down by our Lord Jesus Christ

-They coveted it and desired it with their whole being.

Why did they want this teaching?

When a man is born again, he is a baby and desires milk therefore must be given the sincere milk of the Word of God-1Pet2:2 (AMP) –“Like new-born babies [you should] long for the pure milk of the word, so that by it you may be nurtured and grow in respect to salvation [its ultimate fulfilment].”

6) They wanted to understand what happened to them and to learn more and more of it so that they can grow and help others (like their loved ones).

7) They are always ready to give an answer for the hope that is in them-1Pet3:15 –  But in your hearts set Christ apart [as holy—acknowledging Him, giving Him first place in your lives] as Lord. Always be ready to give a [logical] defence to anyone who asks you to account for the hope and confident assurance [elicited by faith] that is within you, yet [do it] with gentleness and respect.”

 Prayer Points.
