COME DRINK NEW WINE! MEN OF COURAGE!-Judges 7

V 5-8. The Gospel is the test of God's army today. Count our men among God's great company.

- V5. The water brook where thirst is quenched with limitless spring. How will people respond to sudden provision and spoils of war when the battle is won in revival?

- V6. Some will drink voraciously, getting on their knees to abandon themselves to the spoil. Baptised into the spoils of war and no longer watching unto prayer. Captured completely by the victories of revival.

* Many started well with their wives but now suddenly discover they are no longer God's will after a little success in ministry. Divorce and remarriage on the increase among men of the faith.
* Many knew how to be abased and how to abound, but now they only know how to abound. Abased and sacrifice totally erased from their lives' dictionary.
* Many started very humble and approachable (like David), but now they are so drunk with anointing people are afraid to ask them simple questions pertaining to life and godliness.
* Many were quick to give God the glory but now like Nebuchadnezzar, it is "Babylon...that I have built..." (Daniel 4:29). They are now in charge.
* Many started as disciples but now the anointing teaches them all things so they do not submit to anyone anymore. They are the final authority.
Destroyed by the provisions of revival, like Achan (Joshua 7), Judas Iscariot, Demas, etc.

V 5-8. The Gospel is the test of God's army today.
ü  Let the Gospel work on our men, beginning from the spirit and work through their soul- mind, intellect, feelings, emotions, will. And, even through the physical and tangible.
ü  Shake the shakables of their lives so the unshakable can remain- Jesus' life only.
ü  Give them revelation knowledge of God's test kit- the Gospel of Jesus. Let them pursue the Gospel that establishes CHRIST INSIDE them. Only then can we have hope for God's glory  in their lives and know that by the grace of God they will not derail and cause confusion to many.

Many are called, few chosen. The ratio of 300 to 32,000? Approx. 1-100
For every 100 men that come to God's battle, only 1 pleases Him.
ü  Count our men among the few that will be chosen.
ü  Remove from them everything that can make You reject them.

V8. Host of Median beneath in the valley. Gideon above.
Though a host, but beneath Gideon. What is the point being a host if you will only be beneath in the valley?
When God finds His men, though few, the host of Satan is beneath them. Like Herod king of Judea, a host backed by the Roman authorities but beneath Peter and the Church- Acts 12.
ü  Open their eyes to see that one with God is a majority. Make them confident in this.
ü  Help them know that they are seated in heavenly places with Christ Jesus, far above principalities and powers. They are above, the enemy is beneath.
ü  Like Gideon, make them men of faith who will go all the way with God even when it doesn't make natural sense.
ü  Let them see the victory before the battle. Let them see God before the challenges.

Make our men real just like Gideon and his 300. Amen.
